so why
flog then…a dead horse
or beat
an empty past…for crumbs
in this one horse race
ask this of one
and try…understand this well
for what
whom and when
and who…such strive

to move on…and not look back
for any reason
what-so-ever
must be endured
not just
in articulate letter…but spirit too
and in act
via…mutual agreement
or unilaterally
as given ‘truths’
though harsh…and sharp
are clean in cut
innocent and without guilt
